I'm trying to get back into the swing of posting daily. I want 2012 to be fully documented.
There is lots of talk around the blog world, about a word that you choose for the year and is your mantra for that year. I haven't chosen a word just yet, but I'm definitely going to put some thought into it this week, and get it down on paper.
As for changes that I hope to accomplish in 2012... better known as New Year's Resolutions! So here we go..
The inevitable.. lose weight. And not just a few pounds.. I need to haul ass this year. I need to get this done. It's holding me back and weighing me down! Not only lose the weight, but create a healthy lifestyle in the process. I have Weightwatchers in my back pocket literally.. it's on my phone, so with me at all time. I'm going to make it work, and keep me accountable. I hope to share recipes I'm loving, exercises and activities that are keeping me moving and my progress that I'm making.
Streamline my life... and things. This is a big one for me... because secretly I'm a hoarder. There I said it. It's official. I collect things and then not use them... It's insane. I do it with craft supplies, clothes, notebooks, anything. You name it.. I probably own it and don't use it. So before it comes homes with me.. I'm going to do a double, triple, quadruple check to make sure I a. Need it.. and b. will use it. This resolution also includes getting rid of a lot of things that I have in my life that I don't need or use. Streamline..
With streamlining... comes organization. I've tried over and over to get this one right.. and by golly I'm going to get it done!
To be kind, all the time... not just when I want to be. This is something that I have started to do a lot towards the end of 2011 and I'm going to roll it right into the New Year...
Less TV, more quality me time. It's NO secret that I thoroughly enjoy TV, but lets be honest... there is more to life then all the TV that I watch. So this year, lets make that happen. I'm going to trim way back the amount of TV that I watch, and keep it to 1-2 hours MAX a day, or every other day.
Buy more things made in the USA. This is something that I think everyone should do to boost our economy, but I'll definitely start with myself, and making more conscious purchases.
I have several other things that I want to accomplish this year, but I think this will get me off to a really good start. I'm pumped. I'm motivated.. and I really want to make this happen. I have a great date with the gym this afternoon, and I'm super excited about getting back into the gym and getting back into a regular routine of making health an important part of my life. Yoga studio... here I come!
